1201 Third

Seattle, WA

A new common

Another firm had set a super-modern common corridor standard for 1201 Third Avenue that ignored the character of the building's main lobby, and it was being rolled out floor by floor before the client decided it wasn't working. Emily led the effort to redesign the standard, reconnecting the corridors to the building's identity while updating discontinued finishes and value-engineering costly standard materials.

While working at a previous firm as the project’s lead designer, Emily drafted the design and made final decisions on finishes and selections presented to the client, working with the team to develop options.
