Doubletree Hilton Head

The lobby and amenity spaces of the Doubletree Hotel in Hilton Head, South Carolina had become dark and oppressing. Needing the space to be lighter and brighter, along with reflecting better the region’s aesthetic, lightly-colored finish materials and furniture were integrated into the new design.

At check-in, a new front desk was created with millwork to adhere to the Hilton standard, but still complemented the new aesthetic. A new mini-market was created next to the front desk with more custom millwork. To tie the check-in and restaurant areas together, and provide separation without walls, a open shelf with internal lighting was designed. Meeting rooms, restrooms, and the fitness center also received face lifts.

Amanda completed this project at a previous firm and was responsible for design development and construction document drawings.
